He definitely doesn’t like the taste.

Trip back to hospital for Jaundice check

May 16th, 2008 by pjnorris

Today we had an appointment at Frimley Park Hospital to have Matthew’s jaundice checked.

When we arrived, we had to capture a tube full of wee. It only took about 15 minutes to wait and he filled the tube. After that, Matthew was weighed and he weighed 7lb 13oz.

He was then seen by a doctor who examined him and took a few blood samples. He cried a lot at first, then fell asleep whilst the needle was still in his hand.

Hopefully everything will be okay, hope to have some results in the next few days.

Today the health visitor returned. She checked Matthew’s weight, he weighed 7lb 10oz. She was still concerned about his jaundice and his tongue thrush.

We were referred to Dr John at the doctor surgery. She gave Matthew and ilke new gel for the thrush and referred us to the hospital for the jaundice.

Today Julie the Health Visitor came and had a long chat with us.

She used some new technology to check Matthew’s ears were okay. They both reported to be responding well.

She weighed him and he was 3.28kg, 7lb 3oz. His head measured 36.5cm. They identified that he had some thrush on his tongue. I have made an appointment with the doctors for Matthew at 17.30 – his first doctor’s appointment.

As today had brilliant weather, I managed to take a few photo’s for Matthew’s passport. Hopefully get that sent of in the next few days or so.

Day Trip to Bocketts Farm

May 3rd, 2008 by pjnorris

Today, the weather was a lot better, no rain forecasted. So we all decided to go to Bocketts Farm. Auntie Jacquie joined us, so we took two cars. I drove with ilke’s father, Auntie Jacquie and Matthew, and ilke drove with her mother and William.

The weather did hold out and it was a fantastic day. William really enjoyed himself. Matthew was very good, didn’t cry much and seemed to enjoy the fresh air.

Nanny and Grandad went home

April 30th, 2008 by pjnorris

Today my parents flew back to Spain.

The weather has been awful today and prevented us from going out anywhere. Matthew was content in staying at home.

We had heard that Carole and Adrian had a baby girl in the early hours of the morning and called her Amy Louise. On their way up to see them, Carole’s parents, Tony & Yvonne called in to see us and dropped off a present for Matthew.

In the evening, Judith Pengelly called in with a present for Matthew and William.
